Old Testament

Comprising 39 books, the Old Testament displays a variety of genres. It can be divided into five collections: Pentateuch, Historical Books, Wisdom Literature, Major Prophets, and Minor Prophets. Extraordinary stories, poems, prophecies and admonishments make it an exciting read. However, are these texts relevant for our time? Can God still speak through these ancient writings? PENTATEUCH

(Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy)

It contains the first five books of the Bible and covers the story from creation to Israel’s entrance into the Promised Land. It contains stories and laws that are foundational to the rest of Scripture like creation, the flood, the tower of Babel, the Exodus, and the Ten Commandments.
